For the second time, Lebanese designer Tony Ward took part in a goodwill initiative to design a Christmas cake this holiday season. In 2010, Ward partnered with Michel Ferneini of Fleur De Lys, a high-end gourmet caterer, to design a bûche de Noel, or yule log, for Fleur De Lys as part of a project entitled “A Taste for Goodness,” in which proceeds were donated to Libami, a Lebanese charitable organization helping underprivileged children gain access to education.
The success of the initiative, coupled with Libami’s growing needs, led the pair to collaborate again, and the 2014 Designer Bûche was unveiled at Ward’s headquarters in Beirut(Dailystar).
