Dolce & Gabbana’s new Autumn-Winter collection 2016-17

In a fairytale-inspired event, Dolce & Gabbana opened its doors to special guests on Thursday, October 13. The Downtown Beirut boutique was transformed into a dream-like stage replete with images from Snow White, such as the large, gilded mirror (reminiscent of the Wicked Witch) or the life-sized tree with shiny red apples hanging, as well as Cinderella. All the clocks were set close to midnight and a large illustrated fairytale book was presented, telling the love story of Dolce & Gabbana's princess and prince.

From the spectacular Cinderella-like glass shoes, the handbags designed withintricate chariots, palaces or princes, to the mannequins draped with exquisiteembroidered dresses fit for a princess, guests were invited to discover thecolourful inspirations behind the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection and itscontemporary interpretations of the fairytale princess.

In this magical setting, guests could try out the glittering Dolce & Gabbanabejeweled headpieces and crowns, specially fitted by a hairdresser on site, and enjoy hors-d'oeuvres that were served in the form of roses, or cupcakes shaped like apples, tiaras, and ticking clocks. To add to the dreamy atmosphere, a DJ played a Disney-themed soundtrack that was brought straight from Dolce & Gabbana's latest runway show.
