Les Musicales de Baabdath and Goethe-Institut Libanon set up jointly with the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music, a Chamber Music Mentorship Program now in its second year, offering advanced violin, viola, cello, and piano students the opportunity to be mentored by musicians from DSO-Berlin (Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin). The students who have been working for three months on a repertoire overseen remotely by the German musicians and face-to-face in Beirut in the context of a one-week intensive workshop, will present their work at the closing concert of Les Musicales de Baabdath on Saturday November 12, 2002. The program features among others, works by Beethoven, Shostakovich, Grieg, and Dvorak.
