A national initiative to support Lebanese designers between Christmas and New Year's
"Geahchan Home" combines creativity and patriotism in one project

Christmas and New Year are different this year at "Geahchan Home" that is preparing to launch a large exhibition including a collection of art pieces, furniture and wallpapers (Inaltera) designed for this exhibition and manufactured locally.
The artworks are prepared by elite Lebanese artists: Roger Moukarzel, Pia Magid, George Boustany, Azza Mahmassani, Rania Cortbawi, Nada Matta and George Mohasseb in addition to 30 Lebanese artists and “Le Musée du Savon”.
Aiming to encourage Lebanese taste and Lebanese designers, Geahchan Home is giving them priority in this project and as a local producer of furniture, wants to encourage locally produced items by inviting local artists and exposing their items in the showroom. The venue, transportation and profits will be offered by Geahchan Home as well.
Mr. Karim Geahchan, managing partner, considered in his keynote speech on the occasion the following: “The economic crisis has inspired us to think in a different manner: the Lebanese economy was based on imports while the local crisis pushed us to start creating value by producing ourselves the products we need, thus empowering us Lebanese to count on ourselves”.
He continued: “This initiative will create value for Geahchan Home and for the Lebanese economy as a whole since we will start exporting Lebanese-produced materials, and inspire others to do so, which have a high quality and style, a style which is already known around the world thanks to the Lebanese fashion designers.
M. Geahchan then added: “The whole world will not only see our designs but also our quality which will rival with the best producers in the world. This is what Lebanon can deliver.”
The exhibition opens its doors from Friday, December 16 until the end of the year, and receives visitors from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm, at the headquarters of "Geahchan Home" located in the Sin El Fil, Beirut - Lebanon.
