ALiSEP Association Invitation to its Scientific annual Conference
On the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day in May, and in line with its ongoing mission to support people with multiple sclerosis in Lebanon, and its continuous efforts to raise awareness and enhance scientific and medical knowledge about this disease, the Lebanese Association for Multiple Sclerosis (ALiSEP) is organizing its annual conference under the title:
“Neurology and Adapted Sport for Multiple Sclerosis (MS)”
The event will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in the Conference Hall of Geitaoui Hospital (CHU) – Achrafieh, Beirut.
Keynote speakers include:
- Prof. Salam Kossa, Neurology Specialist, who will address the history of available therapies for multiple sclerosis, the obstacles encountered in providing these treatments over past years, as well as current therapeutic options and some new innovations in the field.
- Dr. Majed Moubarak, Head of the Department of Motor Education and Adapted Physical Activity, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Antonine University, who will discuss the importance of adapted physical activity for multiple sclerosis patients.
The conference represents a unique opportunity for patients to meet one another and exchange the experiences and challenges they face daily, to form a mutual support network and amplify their collective voice on their issues. It also represents an important opportunity for medical and sports professionals, as well as for patients themselves, to gain deeper knowledge about the integration of medical treatments and specialized physical activity, and to overcome the isolation experienced by some patients.
