The Metropolis Cinema Association and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut have the pleasure to present“Colours of Life”, a Krzysztof KieślowskiRetrospective, from 10 to 15 June 2025 at Metropolis Cinema (Mar Mikhael).
The retrospective will present 6 feature films from the rich filmography of one of Poland’s most notable filmmakers, exploring the subtle poetry of existence.
“Colours of Life” will open on Tuesday 10 June 2025 at 8 PM with “Three Colours: Blue”, the first chapter of the iconic “Three Colours” trilogy, starring Juliette Binoche in one of her most memorable roles as Julie, who tries to rebuild her life after losing her husband and child in a tragic accident. The film won the Golden Lion and the Best Actress Awards at the Venice Film Festival 1993, the Best European Film Award at the Goya Awards 1994 and two César Awards (Best Actress, Best Editing) in 1994.
The retrospective will also include “Three Colours: White”, “Three Colours: Red”, “The Double Life of Véronique”, “A Short Film About Love” and “A Short Film About Killing”.
All screenings will start at 8 PM at Metropolis Cinema (Mar Mikhael).
All films will be screened in their restored copies, in original audio, with English subtitles.
