"Murex d’Or" Launches Silver Jubilee Celebrations
Under the patronage and in the presence of Lebanon’s Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, the “Murex d’Or” committee, headed by Drs. Zahi and Fady El Hélou, held its annual evening to launch the Silver Jubilee and announce this year’s slogan: "25 years, New Dawn… Bright Future" – "25 عاماً، فجر جديد... مستقبل مشرق". The event took place at “VIA Dbayeh” restaurant, where the stars shimmered in silver, attended by a large gathering of politicians, diplomats, union leaders, artists, actors, media figures, and prominent members of Lebanese and Arab society.
The evening began with the Lebanese national anthem, presented by media personality Raneem Abou Khzam. Drs. Zahi and Fady El Hélou opened with a minute of silence in memory of the late genius Ziad Rahbani, whose spirit remains among us. They announced the date of this year’s special edition, to be held at Casino du Liban’s “Salle des Ambassadeurs” on Saturday, September 20, 2025, highlighting that the festival will host artistic talents from Lebanon and around the world. They also revealed the names of the drama, music, and media juries.
A special moment was dedicated to Dr. Elissar Naddaf Geagea, a member of the media jury, who was surprised with a cloak from “Adora by Aurore Ezzedine” in honor of her appointment as Chairwoman of Télé Liban’s Board of Directors.
Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos then delivered a speech congratulating Drs. Zahi and Fady El Hélou on their remarkable 25-year journey, affirming his support and attendance at the anticipated September event.
As always, the evening featured various cultural and musical performances, spreading joy and hope among the attendees, along with two video reports showcasing the most memorable moments from a quarter-century of recognition, creativity, and excellence at the “Murex d’Or.”
