SIDC Candle Light

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is an international event. It is not only a memorial for people whose lives were lost to AIDS, it also serves as a community mobilization campaign to raise social awareness about HIV.

This year, the Candlelight Memorial took place for the third time in Lebanon, all got together to  memorialize people who lived with HIV. The event included a band performance and a circus act, in addition to a party with the DJ at the end of the night. Throughout the event there was an ongoing exhibition of a series of photographs taken by people living with HIV to demonstrate their life experiences.
