BLF Nemr Abou Nassar Stand Up Comedy

Allow me to be subjective this time, and I assume all would agree when I say, Nemr Abou Nassar is truly Lebanon's king of Comedy. A microphone and an audience, that's all it takes for him to perform. You hear the crowds laughing the moment he walks unto the stage; I mean he hasn't even started yet!!

On May 21^st 2014, those who are Lucky To Be Young were invited by Banque Libano-Française to a private stand-up comedy by Nemr. Around 300 of them gathered to watch his show, and I am not the only one to say that tears were literally flooding out of my eyes from laughter. So what's the message behind it? Why Nemr?

Nemr started out in 2007, supported by some and criticized by others. He brought forth a new idea that may have been challenging to introduce into our community. He has graduated from the American University of Beirut with a major in Finance and a minor in Philosophy, and started out as an insurance broker, but his passion for stand-up comedy took control. From hosting concerts at AUB, to a stand- up comedy pioneer; Nemrstepped up to the challenge. To present a twist, heeven makes jokes of the criticism he received for choosing this path.Nemr went beyond borders selling out tickets in the Middle East.  He does not side with anyone; "No Politics, No Religion, One Love" which has become essential to promote unity in our region. He toured to seven universities, stunned by record attendance and warm welcoming. His success aspires the young generation to pursue their passion despite all complications.

This is the message; thrive for success, be passionate of what you do, and realistically defy anything that comes in the way. Never turn your back on your beliefs and be certain of every step you make.
