The Beirut International Film festival for the year 2014 was held solely at Planète Abraj Cinemas. The opening film was "CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA by OLIVIER ASSAYAS" (Director & Stars were present), and the closing film was "A MOST WANTED MAN by Anton Corbijn" (some of the stars were also present). Around sixty guests were welcomed from the film industry, including directors, actors, producers and prominent journalists from the Middle East, Europe and the United States. "The BIFF's 14th edition focuses around three major issues: freedom of expression, human rights and environment, food and ecology" said the Director of the BIFF 2014 Colette Naufal. "Art and finance are a perfect match" said Mr. Antoun Sehnaoui the President of SGBL Group as he stated his word. "How many universal masterpieces were bestowed to the world through such a key collaboration?" he added.
