Rebirth Beirut
Rebirth Beirut is proud to present Echoes of Summer, the firstsolo exhibition by Lebanese artist Rosy Daniel, curated by Dr. Tony Karam. The exhibition opens on May 8th, 2025, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Rebirth Beirut’s cultural space, located in Gemmayze, Gouraud Street, Wakf el Roum Building, 1st Floor.
Running till May 16th (daily from 2 PM to 7 PM, except Sundays), the exhibition offers an intimate journey through Daniel’s new body of work which is a reflection on fleeting coastal memories rendered in soft palettes and delicate forms. Her series explores the Lebanese shoreline, where shimmering seas and changing tides evoke themes of memory, movement, and impermanence.
Rosy Daniel, based in Beirut, draws deeply from her surroundings. Her work is a visual diary of the people and landscapes that shape her world. With an eye for detail and emotional nuance, she captures the tension between permanence and transience in her portraits and cityscapes — where Beirut’s architectural past collides with its fast-evolving present.
President and Founder of Rebirth Beirut, Gaby Fernaine, shared his enthusiasm about hosting the artist:
“We are honored to welcome Rosy Daniel to Rebirth Beirut. Her work resonates with the spirit of this city, resilient and full of emotion. Through her work, we are reminded of Beirut’s enduring beauty, even amidst change. This exhibition is not just an artistic event, it is a tribute to the heart and soul of our beloved city.”
A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will supportRebirth Beirut’s ongoing mission to revitalize the city’s infrastructure, particularly through street lighting and restoration projects that aim to restore light, safety, and hope to the capital.
