Spain contributes to the humanitarian response in Lebanon within the framework of the Jordanian humanitarian corridor
07 May 2026
The Ambassador of Spain to Lebanon, Mr. Miguel de Lucas, accompanied the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Lebanon, Mr. Walid Al Hadid, during the reception of humanitarian aid sent by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation
(AECID), co-financed by the European Union.
This initiative is part of the humanitarian corridor established by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, aimed at facilitating assistance to civilian populations affected by displacement in the country.
Spain contributes to this humanitarian action through the delivery of 2,250 kitchen kits, intended to meet the basic needs of approximately 11,250 displaced persons in Lebanon, thereby reinforcing its commitment to humanitarian assistance and international cooperation
in crisis contexts.
This operation reflects the close coordination between international partners and the joint commitment of Spain, the European Union, and Jordan in support of humanitarian aid and the protection of the most vulnerable populations.
