Under the patronage and in the presence of Minister of Industry Eng. Joe Issa El Khoury, LibanPack, in collaboration with the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, hosted a recognition ceremony honoring Lebanese companies that won at the *WorldStar Awards 2026*, the world's leading packaging competition, with the awards presented in Düsseldorf, Germany, during the Interpack exhibition.
Lebanon secured *8 international awards out of 18 Lebanese entries* that qualified through the Arab StarPack competition, placing the country among the *top 10 nations worldwide* in terms of awards won. The achievement highlights the Lebanese industry's ability to innovate and compete globally despite ongoing challenges.
The event brought together Association of Lebanese Industrialists President Salim Zeeni, LibanPack President Sheikh Nabil Jamil, World Packaging Organisation Vice President Soha Atallah, as well as representatives from industry, media, and the winning companies.
Minister El Khoury described the achievement as a source of pride for Lebanon, emphasizing that Lebanese companies are capable of competing at the highest international levels and that packaging plays a key role in supporting exports, sustainability, and industrial competitiveness.
Salim Zeeni stressed that the awards reflect the resilience of Lebanese industry and the determination of industrialists to continue investing and innovating despite difficult circumstances.
Sheikh Nabil Jamil noted that the success is the result of years of work to develop the packaging sector, highlighting Arab StarPack as a leading platform for qualifying companies to global competitions. He also underscored LibanPack’s role in managing the WorldStar Awards on behalf of the World Packaging Organisation.
For her part, Soha Atallah stated that Lebanon’s eight awards in a competition involving more than 40 countries demonstrate the global potential of Lebanese innovation and excellence.
The ceremony concluded with the official presentation of the WorldStar Awards to the winning companies, highlighting the importance of innovation and sustainability in strengthening Lebanon’s industrial position.
