Prynt phone case prints your photos right from your phone

    19 november 2014
Even though the ubiquity of smartphones has helped usher society into the digital age, one thing the devices don't help with is if you need a physical copy of something. Sure, you can download a digital copy of your resume, and you can save copies of photos posted on social media channels, but if you needed that resume for an interview or wanted to put a picture in a frame for your desk, your smartphone isn't going to get you anywhere. French startup Prynt is here to help - by splicing a smartphone case and a miniature printer, creating a device similar to a Polaroid camera.

The case is too bulky to act as your everyday smartphone protector, but it's small enough to carry in your messenger or laptop bag; if you're used to carrying a 3DS XL or hard sunglasses case around, you'll likely feel right at home lugging the Prynt case. At the moment, it can print a photo in around 50 seconds, though Prynt says it's going to shave 20 seconds off that number by replacing the current Bluetooth connection with a direct physical connection.

TechCrunch got some hands-on time with the case, and it really is reminiscent of the old Polaroid cameras.
