12 may 2015Just over half of the population living in Lebanon is not Lebanese, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said Monday during a seminar meant to tackle the Syrian refugee crisis. "The number of Lebanese residing in Lebanon doesn't exceed 4 million, and is accompanied by 1,250,000 registered refugees and more than 500,000 Syrian nationals, who are either unregistered refugees or workers. Then there are about 400,000 Palestinian refugees," said Kanaan, who was representing Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during a seminar about the effects of the Syria crisis in Lebanon. -
