saQué founders and designers Chantal and Daisy El Jurdi are pleased to announce that the handbag "Al Faragh" from the "Function Collection" of saQué, has won the 2016 Bronze Trophy for the "Fashion and travel Accessories" category.

The "Fashion and Travel Accessories" is a prominent category of the award where only a handful of the best products applied are selected, and one of them was Al Faragh for its functionality and its unusual shape.

"Al Faragh" which means "The Void" in Arabic, is a first of its kind in the handbags' market. Along with being different and intriguing, this bag has also a specific function that makes it the perfect accessory for women. Thanks to its side void, this handbag can be hanged on the table, resolving an issue faced by most women when going out or when travelling. The handbag was named after its most prominent feature that makes it externally and internally practical. The side void also created two internal compartments where women can neatly organize their belongings. Furthermore, it created a handle with which the handbag can be carried. The bag's flexibility and many design elements allow it to be styled in various ways as well. Its gold plated chain can be used to wear "Al Faragh" as a shoulder bag or it can be completely removed in order to be carried as a clutch, depending on each customer's preferences.

The handbag is handmade with genuine calf leather: smooth satiné and lizard printed. The combination and alternation between the types of leather used along with the contrast and mix of two colours, makes the void stand out even more. All of these unique design elements are what contributed for Al Faragh to win the Bronze Trophy that will be received by the Designers in the Gala Ceremony taking in Milano on the 9th of June.

The "A' Design Award & Competition is the worlds' largest and most diffused international design awards. It announced the results of the 2016 design competition: 1277 Winners from 87 countries in 93 different design disciplines. Entries were carefully evaluated by an internationally influential jury panel composed of 83 jury members who are established scholars, prominent press members, creative design professionals and experienced entrepreneurs that devoted great care and attention to details while voting each entry"1.
