Angelina's third annual Mont-Blanc Day, an event showcasing the brand's signature pastry, will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd 2016.
Visitors over the world will be able to taste the Mont-Blanc and its many versions, including eight different flavours, as well as macaroonand chestnut cream.
This 2016 Mont-Blanc Day will be marked by two new additions, namely the launch of a multiple-flavours, choose-your-own, medium-size Mont-Blanc box set and a savoury chestnut-based menu available in Angelina tearooms.
Savoury chestnut menu
While visiting Angelina for a sweet snack is certainlya must, the brand is also offering an enticing savoury menu to treat its guests to a sophisticated and delicious lunch.The 2016 Mont-Blanc Day provides a great opportunity to showcase this special menu, which is based on a savoury interpretation of the chestnut.As an appetizer, customers can choose between acreamy truffle chestnut and Jerusalem artichoke soup or foie gras with a spiced chestnut crumble cake and peach chutney. For the main course, thechef has created a chicken supreme stuffed with chestnuts and mushrooms paired with a vegetable puff pastry or chestnut scallops.
Mont-Blanc Inversé
To mark the latest Mont-Blanc Day, Angelina's pastry Chefs have created the Mont-Blanc Inversé,exclusively for this unique event.They use the same ingredients as for a traditional Mont-Blanc, but deconstruct it.Mont-Blanc is going topsy-turvy and has been transformed into a delicious sweet confection comprising a chestnut purée vermicelli base topped with a crisp meringue shell containing a light Chantilly whipped cream and chestnut cream.
Multiple-flavours, medium-size Mont-Blanc box set
Just like boxes of macaroons, chocolates, and candied fruits which are the signature products of Paris's most famous brands, Angelina is launching amedium-size Mont-Blanc gift box featuring a variety of flavours. For the past several seasons, Angelina has included aclassic Mont-Blanc offer in each new collection. Four flavours will be available in a medium-size format:the classic Mont-Blanc, raspberry Mont-Blanc,chocolate Mont-Blanc, and coconut-passion fruit Mont-Blanc.
