On Thursday, November 15, Oum el Nour hosted their Annual Fundraiser event at Al Mandaloun nightclub, Mar Mikhael. The exceptional event was organized by Caractere Events, hosted by MTV presenter Rania Achkar. The event included a unique fashion show by Rani Zakhem organized by Paola Rebeiz, a percussion show, and an auction by the exceptional auctioneer Taline Boladian for the special turtles designed by Ghassan Zard that were distinctively reinterpreted by 15 well renowned Lebanese artists, Nada Debs, Anastasia Nysen, Jad El Khoury, Georges Mohasseb, Roger Moukarzel, Nada Sehnaoui, Ramy Boutros, Bokja, Katya Traboulsi, Hania Farrell, David & Nicolas, Youssef Haidar, Bassam Kahwaji, Jean Boghossian, and Gregory Gatserelia. And the special turtle conceived by Oum el Nour Residents in collaboration with Vera Mokbel.
The event was a great success thanks to all the sponsors, donors, and collaborators. Al funds raised will help Oum el Nour continue its mission and services.
Oum el Nour was born 29 years ago from our will to win a friend back from drugs. We continue today with the belief that saving one person from addiction means saving a child, a parent, a sibling, a colleague and a friend.
Oum el Nour is a Lebanese NGO established in 1990 under decree no.120/AD based in Beirut, Lebanon and has two sister organizations, Oum el Nour – France and Drug Free Lebanon in the United States, in addition to a Prevention Center in Liberia.
Oum el Nour has helped over 7000 young men and women escae the nightmare of drug dependency to recover and live happy, healthy and prosperous lives using a variety of services provided free of charge and without any sort of discrimination.
