The comedian Amal Hamadeh, famous on social media for her sense of humor and biting jokes about Lebanese celebrities, passed away Tuesday from a stroke, local news channels reported.
According to Annahar Newspaper, Al Najdah Hospital in Nabatieh said Hamadeh died on her way to the hospital after complaining from a severe headache and vomiting. She was 41.
Her cousin Ahmad Yassin confirmed the death in a tweet, saying, "Amal's smile and her sense of humor are now gone."
Fans took to Twitter to express their sorrow and send their condolences to Hamadeh's family.
Elissa was the first celebrity to tweet, saying, "I was deeply saddened when I heard about the death of Amal Hamadeh. Even though she was very harsh with her comments about celebrities, when it comes to death we can't but pray for her soul ... may her soul rest in peace."
Joe Raad tweeted: "I can't believe how short life is, I spoke to Amal's mother and she told me that Amal had died."
Several of Hamadeh's family members have been affected by strokes in the past, including her sister, who also died from a stroke a few years earlier.
