Born of a nocturnal encounter at the American university of Beirut in 2008, Mashrou' Leila is a seven member band that fuses the craftiness of a music workshop with the punch of stadium rock. With their distinct approach to storytelling and orchestration, they have crafted some of the most melancholic ballads and raucous anthems in contemporary alternative Arabic music and went on to perform them live at sold out venues in Lebanon, Cairo, Amman, Paris, Serbia, Montreal, Marseille, Amsterdam and Geneva.
In July 2012, Mashrou' Leila performed at the Baalbeck International Festival with songs from their upcoming album that will be released in summer 2013.
Directed by Amine Dora and produced by Abbout Productions, the concert of Mashrou' Leila live in Baalbeck will be release on DVD starting May 2013 and distributed by MC Distribution.
On the 7th of May at 7:00 pm, a 20 minutes excerpt of the concert will be screened at Metropolis Empire Sofil followed by the signing of the DVD in the presence of the musicians.
The DVD will be on sale at the bookstore of Metropolis and all branches of Virgin Megastore and librairie Antoine. As well as, Antoine Online, Amazon and I -Tunes.
