Screenplay:
In a humble neighborhood, "Hanin", a young wife was brutally killed by her husband about four months ago, her family gathered in the evening with some friends to prepare for an early morning protest in front of the Justice Palace, as "Bassem" the criminal husband, who was convicted of torturing Hanin after calling her twin sister "Dania" to come to witness her death... might be released from jail!
Dania is preparing for the protest, handling giant pictures of her sister Hanin, a dead, mutilated body destroyed by her abusive husband, and the shocking news arrives saying that Bassem will be free the next morning however will remain under custody and that his trial will be completed outside the bars.
The news falls like a thunderbolt on Dania and on all her family members: the mother Samira, Nadim and Jad, her brothers.
This information will make Dania decide to retaliate for her sister with her own hand... sneaking in front of Bassem's house, she fires several bullets from a pistol she purchased for the occasion ...
Having done the mission, Dania goes to the police station and takes herself to the officer in charge there, "Ziad Harb" ... "I have avenged my sister and killed her husband who killed her ... Hold me, I am surrendering myself to you!!!".
Ziad arrests Dania and investigate with her to discover how great is the trauma suffered on the day she saw her sister breathing her last breath in her hands, saying: "Berdeneh Ana" (i'm cold...).
A serious confrontation begins between Dania's family and Bassem who did not die but was only slightly injured in his leg and Dania is still held for further investigations...
Dania's mother, relinquished her personal right to release Bassem from Hanin's murder, in return, Bassem also waives his personal right in the case of Dania, who tried to kill him...
So... Dania and Bassem are out of prison but nothing is solved... and the story begins that day.
Bassem lives with his mother and two twin children, Nour and Fida (7 years) in his modest home where Hanin was killed ... only one neighbor still care about them, a single woman called "Attouf".
Aziz, Bassem's uncle comes to live with them and starts witnessing the miserable house in which the smell of alcohol, drugs, beatings and screaming has long been known. But Attouf is there to add a happy tone every now and then.
Fast love is born between Ziad the police officer and the highly educated Dania... a relationship with endless ups and downs unfolds.
Dania discovers one day, that Bassem is madly in love with her and married her twin sister back then because she resembles her, he has never dared to openly denounce his love for her because she will certainly despise him, he is just an illiterate driver of a water tanker.
Dania, with the help of her mother and "Sana" a volunteer lawyer helping battered women on behalf of KAFA Foundation, works to rid the two young girls of the dangerous house while the law gives the father's family the right to custody.
Ziad lives in a different atmosphere: silence, calm and routine that controls the house where Abu Ziad, retired general, suffers quietly from a painful incident which occurred 25 years ago ... The day the family was going to the mountain house (father, mother, Ziad, sister and brother), a fight broke out between the mother and father and the car rolled-over in the valley... the mother died, the younger brother and sister too... only Ziad and his father survived, but Ziad blames the father that he was the one who instigated the accident, which in his view was a collective attempt to commit suicide.
In addition to all these fundamental problems, we will witness many turning points and many side storylines, many personalities and many unexpected turnarounds will be seen in this 60 episodes Series... Many questions are asked and are still waiting for healing answers:
What happens when a criminal completes his crime and keeps on threatening others even though he is still under the court control?
Will Dania be able to avenge him and throw him into prison until the last day of his life ??? Will she be able to get custody of her sister's two children???
