Sophie's Choice and Officina Slowear launched their women's and men's spring-summer 2013 collections in a one-of-a-kind trunk show, on Tuesday 23 April at their boutiques in Beirut souks. The event, stamped with the sophisticated and cosmopolitan chic outlooks of the brands, marked the beginning of a glamorous and stylish summer in Beirut city and reasserted the capital's position as the region's time-tested hub for fashion and creativity.
A brand new concept took place at the trunk show, as stunning female models shining in 'chic-wear' of Sophie's Choice and well-groomed male models parading the stylish vogue of Slowear's newest collection, paraded in between the two boutiques and fascinated an audience of media, street-passers, customers and VIP attendees alike.
"Every season Sophie's Choice offers a selection of alluring and daring fashion items, cherry-picked at international fashion houses exclusively for the trendiest of Lebanese ladies; Today we have chosen to present our spring-summer 2013 collection in a distinctive and stylish approach that reflects the outlooks of our boutique", said Sophie Salameh, owner of Sophie's choice.
Many international brands including Ermanno Scervino, Derek lam, Neil Barrett, Victor & Rolf made their debut on the Lebanese fashion scene at Sophie's Choice, Sophie Salameh's concept store established in 2009. Sophie's Choice spearheaded the notion of a 'luxury shopping experience' through its shop in Downtown Beirut, where valued customers can relax, sip on cocktails and have exquisite meals in the boutique's lounge area, while they make their fashion choices.
Slowear's men collection displayed at the trunk show was buzzing with a dynamic 'mix-and-match' approach and a relaxed chic appeal, as seen in world-renown fashion shows. Collected from showrooms in Milan, New York and Tokyo, the Slowear collection exhibited the latest trends for summer 2013, including the distinctive, colorful men's trousers which are redefining men's style this year.

Invitees had a taste of luxury shopping as well as food, as models were displaying the fashion collections while champagne, cocktails and finger-food delights were being served. Live saxophone music was on play outside the boutiques, adding life and sensual animation to the chic vibes flowing around the place.
