Le Gray, Beirut grabs the Prix Villegiature Award of the Best Hotel Architecture and Interior Design in the Middle East during the prestigious Prix Villegiature Awards 2019 ceremony held on October 14, 2019 at the historical Château de Ferrières, in France.
For the second year in a row, Le Gray puts Lebanon in the limelight at the prestigious Prix Villegiature Awards among the biggest of the luxury hotel industry worldwide, having been shortlisted in the category of Best Hotel in the Middle East and having won the award of the Best Hotel Architecture and Interior Design in the Middle East against Bvlgari Hotel and Atlantis in Dubai and the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. On this occasion, the Area General Manager of Le Gray, Beirut and Campbell Gray Living and Hotel in Amman, Mr. Georges Ojeil expressed his pride for being among the 5 finalists for the Award of the Best Hotel in the Middle East and for receiving the Award of the Best Hotel Architecture and Interior Design in the Middle East stating that:"this new accolade confirms the uniqueness of Le Gray, Beirut with its beautiful architecture, its timeless interior and its 550 pieces of art. It is also a tribute to the late Kevin Dash whose signature bottom to top atrium has never ceased to allure every visitor who steps in the hotel lobby."
The Prix Villegiature Awards ceremony took place in the largest and most luxurious 19th-century Château de Ferrières, about 26 kilometers east of Paris, and gathered more than 250 people among the luxury hotel owners, operators and general managers.
It is the insights, experiences and personal favourites from a jury constituted of 22 influential journalists representing 15 nationalities covering all 5 continents that make the Prix Villegiature Awards a unique and original hospitality award. It has been since 2003 that Prix Villegiature Awards reward the very best hotels in the Middle-East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
