Red Bull BC One s 10th year

    23 may 2013

After great and unique shows that amazed break dance lovers gathered at BO18, B-boy Ralph grabbed the local title for Red Bull BC One for the 2nd year in a row, and qualified to represent Lebanon at the regional qualifiers in Egypt.

Ralph Kabalan or B-boy Ralph won over B-boy Lil Ninja in the final round, cheered by an excited crowd and an obviously admiring jury. The spectacular final was a perfect ending to the event where duals were held between 16 of the best Lebanese break-dancers better known as B-boys.

Competition rules were based on knockout, where the winner beats his opponent and qualifies to the next level. Shows included one handed or two handed fixed poses, unique jumps, and many ground moves that amazed the crowds.

Three international break dance veterans judged the competition and decided the results. B-boys Taisuke, Lamine, and Roxrite based their decisions on 3 criteria: technique, creativity, and flexibility, and they had already chosen the 16 candidates for their talent among hundreds.

The winner said he was eager "to compete for the regional title of the Middle East and North Africa and try to qualify for the world finals in South Korea." Regional qualifiers in Cairo will gather winners from Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, Tunis and Algeria.
