After the terrible explosions that struck the Lebanese capital on Monday, August 4, mourning the country and destroying part of Beirut, the Saint‐Gobain Group, through its Chairman and CEO, Pierre‐André de Chalendar, offered its assistance to the French Ministry of the Armed Forces to help rebuild the city.
As a result, nine semi‐trailers and a 19‐ton truck unloaded their cargo, consisting notably of construction materials, including plasterboard, glass wool and ceiling tiles, on the morning of Saturday, August 8 in the military port of Toulon (southern France), so that our products could be loaded onto the helicopter carrier leaving for Lebanon that same evening.
Once again, solidarity was the order of the day at Saint‐Gobain. Thank you to all the teams who mobilized to make this operation possible.
