Lucifer Has Officially Gone Into Production For Season 6

    10 october 2020

It's a bittersweet moment for Lucifer fans as production has officially begun on the sixth and final season.

While everyone will be excited about the idea that the sixth instalment will soon be on Netflix, it means we will finally have to say goodbye to Tom Ellis' character and everyone involved with the show.

The co-showrunner for the series Joe Henderson has revealed the big news on Twitter.

He wrote: "Today is our first day of shooting Lucifer season 6! So happy we've finished up season 5, and we will be working our buns off to get it finished and to Netflix!

"Thanks to our incredible cast and crew for working hard and safe and delivering a kickass finale!"

For the uninitiated, Lucifer is a fantasy/drama series that centres around the enticing character of Lucifer Morningstar, better know as the devil, as he decides to bin off his cushy life in Hell and trade it up for Los Angeles.

He first starts to run a nightclub before becoming a consultant with the LAPD.

Six seasons is a pretty good run for a show that never looked like it would get beyond the third.

It was cancelled by Fox, but then later picked up by the people at Netflix - a tale as old as time - who gave it a new home, and a new lease of life.

There's no word on when we can expect to see the sixth instalment on our screens, but the second half of the fifth is due to drop early next year.
