An influencer in the US has opened up about the botched Botox that left her with a droopy eyelid.
Whitney Buha, from Chicago, usually gets Botox about twice a year - but following a recent appointment, it quickly became apparent that something had gone wrong.
Six days later she returned to have it fixed, but over the days that followed it only got worse.
"I was getting scared that a) this was going to be permanent or b) this was going to really affect my eyes or my vision long term," Whitney told BuzzFeed News.
It transpired that she had ptosis, a complication characterised by a droopy eyelid. It typically occurs when the Botox fluid seeps from its intended muscle into a nearby muscle that controls the eyelid.
On one post, she wrote: "In all honesty this is super embarrassing and makes me extremely self-conscious about my face, but since there's nothing I can do about it, I might as well laugh it off for now," while in a video she explained she would simply 'have to wait it out'.
As for the public reaction, she told BuzzFeed News: "People are so invested in this and want to know what's happening.
