Under the sponsorship of H.E. the Minister of Social Affairs, Wael Abu Faour, represented by the legal advisor at the ministry Dr. Antoine Zakhia, and as part of the "Alfa 4-life" CSR Program, Alfa, managed by Orascom Telecom, organized in collaboration with the Lebanese Autism Society (LAS), the third exhibition of young artist Ali Tlais entitled "Enchanting Autism Forest" held in Le Gray Hotel's Atrium on July 15. The exhibition was followed by an Iftar.
28 new paintings bursting with colors were showcased in the exhibition, representing nature and the four seasons as seen by Ali. A remarkable artistic evolution by the young artist was obvious, as he has formed a specific artistic personality with a style known as pointillism. His creativity impressed the officials and artists present, and just like the two previous years, all proceeds of this exhibition will go to Ali and the LAS.
In his speech, Dr. Zakhia called for "considering this exhibit as an opportunity to fully reflect on autism, for which the United Nations called all its member states, institutions, organizations, and civil society to celebrate in an appropriate manner". He hoped that the "social participation of the private sector will be enhanced to develop the country in order to define the problems of children autism." Dr. Zakhia also commended the exhibition, which is "enchanting both in meaning and in content".
Alfa Chairman and CEO, Marwan Hayek, applauded "Ali's exceptional talent, which has evolved year after year and has reached remarkable artistic maturity that exceeded all our expectations and those of his teachers". He added, "Alfa's support to Ali through our "Alfa 4-life" CSR program for the third consecutive year is part of our strategy to support the Lebanese society. I call all the persons present, in this Holy month of Ramadan, to take part in charitable activities and spread the culture of creativity". Addressing the LAS, Hayek concluded by saying, "We have stood beside you since we launched the "Alfa 4-life" CSR Program in 2006, and we promise you that we will stay by your side."
