On the occasion of the first of its kind Lebanese Opera, Nadine & Johnny Music
Center presents “Kiyamet Watan”, an Operatic Theatre Play in Lebanese dialect
with a live Orchestra.
The opening ceremony took place on the 19 th of June where it gathered the social
and economic elites, supporters and sponsors to grant the Lebanese society
moral support and encourage them to secure the ongoing growth of cultural
events.
The play will keep rolling every other Thursday, Friday and Saturday up until the
15 th of July at 8:00 PM at Theatre Boulevard - Chiyyah.
The importance of this initiative is that it is creating opportunities for 50 artists
from four different sectors bringing them together in one live show: dancers,
singers, musicians and actors. The scenario was written by Dr. Georges Tanios
who composed also some singles and a part of the project, as for the music
composition of the singles, opening and revolutionary songs were prepared by
Dr. Nidal Abi Rafeh, and for the composition and arrangement of the whole play,
we present to you Maestro and Director Mr. Johnny Karam.
The play talks about the reconstruction of a broken country, where the lead
character and the Hero “Soprano Nadine Nassif” known as “Nour” comes
back to her home country after a very long time abroad. She takes us through
her emotional journey of rebuilding Beirut with the people by revolting in an artist
manner.
And here a quick view of the roles in the play: “Lebnen” our figure of hope and
patriotism “Elie Boulos’."Mounib" the crazy man who sees it all and says all “Toni
Khalife”.
The poor merchant “Gilbert Sfeir”, the sad mother “Perla” Kafrouny, the
young girl in love “Claritta Sakr”, the bodyguards “Elie El Haddad” “Michel El
khazen” and “Joe Yazbeck”, the governor “Naim Kfoury” and the choir “Samar
Abou Jaoude’, “Lyn Sakr”, “Nathalie Ghaly”. Not to forget the beautiful dance
