This week on OLT20 we want to give a big thumbs up to Music superstars Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Myriam Fares for landing their first joint Number 1 with “Tukoh Taka”, the first-ever official FIFA Fan Festival anthem, recorded to pump up the atmosphere at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Trinidadian-born Nicki Minaj, who is based in the USA, is known as the “queen of hip hop” after becoming the best-selling female rapper of all time. Maluma is a globally acclaimed Latin Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter from Colombia, while Lebanese singer Myriam Fares has tens of millions of followers across the Middle East and worldwide. “Tukoh Taka” is the second song ever to enter the OLT20 Chart directly at Number 1 ..
On this 48th Chart of the year we only have 1 other New Entry in the countdown. The song is called "On BS" and it is a song by Canadian rapper Drake and Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage from their collaborative studio album “Her Loss” (2022). The song which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 is now at Number 17 here in Lebanon.
Congrats as well to Dutch singer (of Moroccan descent) Hind Laroussi Tahiri, now better known professionally as Laroussi as she scores back to back Top 3 Hits with “Cinnamon” a few months ago, and now with “Good”. Laroussi, currently based in Dubai is presently going through extensive Media appearances. Hoping to soon see her performing in Lebanon..
Finally note that biggest jump of the week comes from Lebanese based band Après La Nuit (Ricky Abdini & Marylin Jallad) with “Bye Bye Mon Petit Frere” which bullets up to Number 12 (from Number 17 last week).
