In a groundbreaking initiative blending art, culture, and technology, “The Grand Voyage of the Phoenicians” is set to open its doors in the heart of Byblos, Lebanon – the birthplace of the Phoenician civilization.
The immersive experience, created and produced by HYBRID Xperience in collaboration with the Byblos Municipality and under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, reimagines Lebanon’s ancient maritime history through breathtaking digital projection, sound, and storytelling.
Visitors will embark on a multi-sensory journey across eras, witnessing the Phoenicians’ ingenuity, trade routes, and cultural influence across the Mediterranean. Combining historical research with digital artistry, the experience aims to spark national pride and attract global attention to Lebanon’s creative tourism sector.
“This project is not just about the past,” said Roy Azzi, Founder & Creative Director of HYBRID Xperience. “It’s about how Lebanon can lead the future of cultural innovation – through experiences that blend history, art, and technology in one universal language.”
The project is envisioned as a permanent cultural landmark, transforming Byblos into a hub of immersive tourism and artistic exploration. Guests at the opening ceremony include the Minister of Tourism, the Mayor of Byblos, and Deputy Ziad Hawat, whose collaboration helped bring the vision to life.
The project is setting sail and will be open to public in Spring 2026.
