The internationally renowned Lebanese dance group Mayyas has released a short music video titled: “No matter how division may tempt us, we will remain… all for the الوطن (homeland),” in a work carrying deep national and humanitarian dimensions. The video encapsulates the story of Lebanon from its beginnings until today, along with the conflicts and regional and international tensions it has endured.
A large number of Lebanese dancers participated in the clip, under the creative vision and direction of Nadim Cherfan, who had previously invited members of the media to an exclusive premiere screening of the project at the Mayyas Dance Academy in Haret Sakher.
During the event, Cherfan spoke about the behind-the-scenes process of creating the project, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to supporting and bringing it to life. He also gave special thanks to Abeer Nehme, whose voice featured in the work and added a deeply emotional layer to it.
Cherfan emphasized that the core message of the video revolves around rejecting division and calling for national unity, stressing Mayyas’ commitment to one united Lebanon and to the “10,452 km²” as a shared identity for all Lebanese people.
