The Lebanese Ministry of Tourism officially launched the “Exploring Kobayat” campaign during a press conference held in Beirut, in the presence of Minister of Tourism Laura El Khazen Lahoud, Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos, Mayor of Kobayat and President of the Insan Foundation, Michel Abdo, alongside public figures, officials, and members of the media.

Minister of Tourism Laura El Khazen Lahoud emphasized that the “Exploring Kobayat” campaign is part of the Ministry's national strategy to promote domestic tourism and showcase the richness of Lebanon's regions. She described Kobayat as a model destination for eco-tourism, cultural tourism, and rural tourism, inviting both Lebanese citizens and expatriates to discover its breathtaking landscapes, heritage, and authentic hospitality.

For his part, Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos stressed the importance of highlighting initiatives that reflect the true image of Lebanon. He noted that promoting Lebanon's regions plays a key role in supporting tourism and the local economy while showcasing the country's unique cultural and natural diversity.

The conference also served as the official launch of the Eid Al Saydé (Saint Mary Festivals) – Summer 2026, which will take place in Kobayat as part of a broader vision to strengthen the town's position as one of Lebanon's leading tourism destinations, combining nature, heritage, culture, eco-tourism, and rural experiences.

During the event, attendees watched a promotional video presenting Kobayat's most distinctive attractions, including its forests, nature reserves, hiking trails, religious landmarks, cultural sites, rich heritage, and the renowned hospitality of its people.

The “Exploring Kobayat” campaign is an open invitation to Lebanese residents, expatriates, and international visitors to experience Kobayat not simply as a tourist destination, but as a complete journey blending nature, history, spirituality, culture, and authentic rural life.

Campaign organizers affirmed that Kobayat has become one of Lebanon's premier tourism destinations thanks to its exceptional natural and cultural assets, highlighting the importance of supporting domestic tourism and bringing greater international attention to Lebanon's remarkable regions.

Throughout the festival, visitors will also enjoy a variety of attractions, including the Food Street, a Lebanese crafts and traditional food market, children's activities, as well as spiritual and cultural events designed to offer a complete tourism experience for the entire family.

Mayor of Kobayat and President of the Insan Foundation, Michel Abdo, underlined the importance of cooperation among public and private stakeholders to further develop tourism in Kobayat and reinforce its position on Lebanon's tourism map. He stressed that Kobayat is not simply a destination to visit, but an experience to be lived in every detail.

The conference concluded with the premiere of the official “Exploring Kobayat” campaign video under the slogan "See You This Summer", inviting Lebanese residents and visitors alike to discover Kobayat's natural beauty, rich heritage, vibrant culture, and unforgettable experiences.
