Ahmad Aliq posted on his Facebook account, saying: "Lebanese people have found an alternative solution to traveling on Direct Flights due to the exorbitant cost of traveling from Europe to Lebanon, where the price of a single ticket is no less than $1400!"
He added, "A Lebanese traveler took a bus within France for 10 euros to Toulouse airport, then flew to Cyprus on Irish Airline for 30 euros, and from Cyprus to Beirut on Cypriot Airline for $50. So the cost from France to Lebanon did not exceed $100!"
He continued, "Another Lebanese person traveled from London to Cyprus for $60 and from Cyprus to Beirut for $50."
He concluded, "Due to the exorbitant prices of Direct Flights tickets, Larnaca Airport in Cyprus is crowded with Lebanese expatriates who are coming back to their homeland at a cost that does not exceed 10% of the expensive Direct Flights tickets."
