FFA Private Bank hosted the Middle East premiere of the Hollywood blockbuster 2 Guns, a movie starring Denzel Washington and Mark Whalberg, on August 21st at Grand Cinemas in ABC Achrafieh. Co-financed by FFA Private Bank, which represents more than half of the movie's equity financing, 2 Guns (budget of USD 86M) is an action-comedy movie that reached the #1 spot at the US box office upon its release.
The movie, written by Blake Masters (Law & Order) and directed by Baltasar Kormákur (Contraband), is based on a 5-issue graphic comic book by Steven Grant. 2 Guns is a pulp story that talks about cops and thieves and the men that are something in between. In the graphic novel, Bobby (Oscar and Golden Globe winner Denzel Washington) has targeted a local bank to rob, and asked Stig (Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Mark Wahlberg) in on the job. Bobby figures it's a great way to score - considering it's a cover for mob money. They'll be thieves ripping off thieves. But what Stig doesn't know is that Bobby is a DEA agent. And what Bobby doesn't know is that Stig's got his own secret and isn't who he appears to be.
