A lot of folks have been asking me if I'm going to be at Creamfields Beirut on September 7, and I am honetly dumbfounded by that question. Of course I will, dafuq is wrong with you people? Ever since I leaked this massive event, I've been counting down the days! Here are 7 reasons why I think you must be there.
1- Biggest Ever Electronic Music Festival in Lebanon
It doesn't get any bigger than this when compared with Beirut's impressive pedigree when it comes to hosting awesome EDM talents. Even this summer, with over 50 amazing producers gracing venues like The Garten, Pier 7, Sporting, Solea, etc. Creamfields stands out as the outright biggest ever festival with 14 hours of nonstop music simultaneously on 3 different stages. If you miss this, you will regret it forever.
2- A Nice Fuck You to the Bombers
Lebanon has been plagued with a series of deadly bombings all over the country that has many Lebanese housebound and afraid to move around. But, we can't let the murderous sons of bitches behind the attacks force us to stop living our lives and having the fun we deserve. Creamfields will be an awesome celebration about everything beautiful in life: happy vibes, happy people, happy activities and a happy hangover.
3- The Acts!
Richie Hawtin? Dash Berlin? Steve Angello? Seth Troxler? Aly and Fila? Loco Dice? Maceo Plex? All those massive names plus the two dozen fantastic local titans of electronic music? Hell, what more could you ask for?!
4- The Variety
What's awesome about largescale festivals is that you have choice. Usually, an event fits nicely into one niche of the extremely diverse electronic music universe. This one has everything, from uplifting Trance with Dash Berlin and Aly and Fila, to minimalist techno with Richie Hawtin, chart-topping House pop with Steve Angello and a flurry of different yummy flavors of house, tech-house, progressive and more! In the mood for some SHM vibes? Head to one stage. Feel like some goosebump-inducing melodic Trance? Move to another. Want to experience the M_nus techno journey? Move!
5- The Extras
Apart from 3 stages, there will be plenty to do in the festival. From bungee-jumping and theme park rides, to artsy mazes and installations. You'll have plenty to do when you're taking a break from stomping and jumping and dancing. It's a bonafide festival, complete with all the amenities you'd expect at festivals like Coachella and Tomorrowland. Imagine bungee jumping to the soundtrack of Dash Berlin's music for example... Doesn't get any more consciousness-altering than that.
6- The Major Club Collab
JK58 has brought in Lebanon's two biggest clubs: Uberhaus and White, to help run the show. Each club is king in its own domain, with Uberhaus dominating the Middle East when it comes to the underground and intense, and White topping charts when it comes to the glitzy glam more mainstream world. Each will be running a stage, with the corresponding acts performing there. So, you'll get a taste of Uber and a taste of White as well as the main arena all in one marathon day.
7- Crowd Wars
Creamfields has been hosted in the UAE before, and it's up to us to prove to the world that we've got the awesomest crowds. Turn up, be loud, dance hard and let's teach the rest of the Middle East how it's done.
