Beirut, Friday 6th of September 2013:
During a press conference organized by JK58 on September 6th at the Beirut Waterfront, Mr. Jean Carl Saliba (managaing partner) declared the following: It is with great regret that we inform our festival goers, sponsors and friends in the Creamfields Beirut 2013 journey that unfortunately our foreign partners have decided to pull out from the event 48 hours prior to the event set date, and therefore the long awaited festival can no longer take place.
Their sudden decision was taken yesterday due to unspecified reasons so far despite JK58's organisational, operational and site preparations being in full swing with an expected handover and completion as per the scheduled event.
All current tickets holders can claim a reimbursement on their tickets starting next Tuesday.
We wish to express our heartfelt and sincere apologies to our faithful local and regional fans and followers. We share your disappointment and despair while promising you to never cease our efforts to place Lebanon on the international musical map hoping for better circumstances.
Lebanon has always struggled to free itself from the weighing shackles it finds itself tied to, and in return JK58 will fight to bring people together through music promising high standards of bigger, bolder and louder events that all of us Lebanese can be proud of.
