touch got the lion's share of mobile internet subscriptions with more than one million subscriptions to its network till date! It is noteworthy that touch's mobile internet penetration rate has reached a whopping 50% compared to the global mobile internet rate which stands at 30% (as per the ITU - International Telecommunication Union estimations).
The Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Nadim Khater, at touch- the leading mobile operator managed by Zain- explained that the Company "has been able to attract the largest number of subscriptions during the 3rd quarter of 2013, due to the variety of data plans and innovative offers whereby customers are activating more than one bundle to fit the nature of their internet consumption."
"touch is working on upgrading and optimizing its 3G network to accommodate more than 1.5 million subscribers. We are also working on expanding the 4G network to extend to Beirut's suburbs by the end of 2013" Khater added.
