With the launch of ''The Smurfs 2'' movie, McDonald's invited orphans and children of martyrs to watch the movie and spend joyful times.
600 children were transported to the magical world of the Smurfs through unforgettable Smurfing touches. McDonald's created a Smurfs village around the theater where Smurf characters played and took pictures with the children whose faces were glowing with smiles. The children had the chance to play the role too with Smurf headbands and materials, making them feel they really landed into a Smurf village.
After two hours of Smurfing fun, the children were treated to their favorite: Happy Meals at McDonald's, and received their joyful Smurf toys.
''We constantly aim at making children happy and enjoying their childhood, and this is even more special this time as it coincided with Eid El Fitr. McDonald's will always be part of children's fun and ensuring as much as possible a better future for them'' said Mr. Gabriel Abiad - Marketing Director of Miknas Foods, the Lebanese licensee of McDonald's.
With 26 restaurants across Lebanon, McDonald's is Lebanon's number one family restaurant and offers a complete experience with great food and great times for every member of the family.
