Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom, has partnered with INSEAD, the world's leading and largest graduate business school, to provide a two-day workshop for Alfa's Executive committee and senior managers. The "Innovative Leadership Workshop" was delivered by INSEAD on September 19-20, 2013 at Mzar Intercontinental Hotel- Faraya.
The workshop aimed at introducing Alfa executives and top managers to modern means for Identifying New Business Opportunities and came in the context of supporting Alfa's efforts aiming to maintain its effective role in the dynamic and rapidly evolving mobile sector. Alfa is the first corporation to partner with INSEAD - 'the business school for the world' for delivering this program in Lebanon.
Throughout the two-day program, Karan Girotra, Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD focused on equipping the Alfa leaders with skills to explore creative business acumen, as well as developing programs on how to exceed customers' needs and expectations while leading innovative initiatives in the industry. Girotra said: "Innovation is key to survival of any organization - while most organizations recognize this, few have institutional mechanism and capabilities to repeatedly innovate. In this program, INSEAD and Alfa have come together to invest in building cutting-edge innovation capabilities at Alfa that will allow the organisation to continuously innovate and improve its service offerings."
