On October 5th, 2013, GAP transformed the back to school season into a fun, back-to-school party with GAP's 'Back to Cool' event at the GAP store in Le Mall Sin El Fil. Children were welcomed to an afternoon of arts and crafts and entertainment, while parents got a chance to shop GAP's new Fall 2013 Pop Comic Collection.
The new collection, for children, gives back-to-school fashion a retro twist by mixing bright colors, 60's pop art and vintage comic books. The "blast from the past" collection includes coloured chinos, graphic tees, bold strip V-necks and comic sweaters for boys. Girls get to choose from coloured denim and sweaters offering fresh, yet original, details. Additionally, girls are offered 'School of Rock' and a 'Mob Squad' lines with 50's and 60's inspired skirted dresses, ankle-grazing skinny denim, coloured sparkle-printed denim and knit tees with heart details.
The 'Back to Cool' Pop Comics-themed event, paralleling GAP saving back-to-school fashion, consisted of workshops allowing children to customize their own school kits and notebooks with their favorite Pop Comics stickers, as well as personalize their own super hero masks. Other entertainment also included a photo booth with fun props and souvenir photos, and a Sony PlayStation corner with interactive and competitive games.
With several GAP locations including Le Mall Dbayeh, Le Mall Sin El Fil and Beirut Souks, GAP is helping excite children about going back to school, one retro-stylish outfit at a time.
