The Central Bank of Lebanon released the new 50,000 LBP for Lebanon's 70th Independence Anniversary.
Apparently the new 50,000 LBP seems to be a Limited edition .
The Blue color dominates the new currency .There are at the top of the front side on the right, colors of the Lebanese flag, and in the middle of the left drawing of the Castle of Rashayya. In the center of the rear side on the right, colors of the Lebanese flag and the drawing of the map of Lebanon.
A statement for "BDL" says that this paper is made from a polymer material that is used for the first time in Lebanese banknotes. Other safety features includes obtrusive signs of rough texture, the most important parallel horizontal lines on both sides of the paper. At the bottom of the paper as well as to the left obtrusive sign especially blind to symbolise the value of the currency.
