Beiruting.com Interviewed the Fashion Designer Rani Itani.
1. Where do you find your inspiration?
It is sometimes hard to specify your source of inspiration specially when you are an artist. But I can say that I get inspired by all the social and natural events while drawing my dresses. Simply my collection is based on what I See, Hear and Feel.
2.What does fashion mean to you?
Every human to be alive needs essential basics to survive, fashion is an essential element in life.
3.When did you realize you wanted to become a fashion designer?
I was raised in a family where my father used to be a fashion designer and had his own shop, and while growing my love and passion toward fashion grown with me and here I am having my personal Atelier and fashion line.
4.What was the first article of clothing you ever designed?
It was a bronze and gold flowery dress embroided from zero embellished with swarovski crystals for my collection.
5.How long does it usually take you to construct a piece?
There is no specific time for each piece to be constructed or design its all about your mood and your feelings who guide your inspiration and abilities.
6.Who is one of your favorite local models to work with?
I don't work with one specific local model, Nevertheless the unique look of the Lebanese Lady inspires me.
7.What are some of your accomplishments as a designer?
Every day is an accomplishment for me, lately I had the spring/summer fashion show in Beirut during the Fashion Week at ST Georges Hotel and Resort in Beirut and thank God the feedback was amazing.
8.Who are some of your favorite designers?
I am really proud of all the Lebanese fashion designers that took Lebanon to the international platforms and directed the spot lights on Beirut as an international capital for Fashion.

10.How do you select your models?
According to the theme of the collection, their posture and their abilities.
11.What are some of your favorite clothing stores/catalogs/websites?
I keep myself well-informed about the fashion scene, but I can't say that I stick to a certain website or cataloge.
12.How would you define your personal style?
Unique yet relatable.
