Beirut, August 2012: With the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Gefinor Rotana Hotelhosted an arts and crafts exhibition in collaboration with the I'dad Friends of the DisabledAssociation on August 10 and 11, 2012.
The exhibition included a wide range of artistic pieces that were marked by the effort, precisionand love of the disabled whom had undergone several training courses at the organizations'nine workshops. The craftwork on display included pottery, ceramics, mosaic, wood sculptures, and glass paintings among others.
As for Dr. Moussa Charafeddine, Founder and President of the I'dad Friends of the DisabledAssociation, he said, "34 years have passed since the establishment of the Association. Theseyears were arduous years that were full of difficulties yet many achievements. We are proud ofwhat we have been able to offer the disabled and are proud of our success in finding a suitableplace that enables them to integrate into our community rather than be a burden on it." Headded, "The Ramadan Bazaar is an annual event, however this year it has taken an exceptionalcourse and moved to the heart of Beirut, thanks to Gefinor Rotana Hotel, who have joined theirhands with ours in support of the disabled. This support did not come in light of materialisticvalue but supported our children in the sale of their products to encourage their feelings andabilities to give and belong to a community which embraces them."
