Les Fenêtres brasserie is happy to announce the launch of its winter special for Tuesday and Wednesday nights: The Swiss Cheese Fondue!
As of the beginning of February, Les Fenêtres will be serving an original Swiss cheese fondue made using the best quality Gruyere and Emmental cheese from Switzerland, served in an Emile Henry caquelon pot and with a rustic Pain de Campagne for dipping.
Understanding the true culinary and social event of a fondue, and knowing that nothing goes better with a true fondue than a plate of Viandes des Grisons and a glass of Chardonnay, Les Fenêtres have also outsourced the best to add to the dining experience! The highly acclaimed Chardonnay Domaine Des Gandines Macon Viré Clessé from Burgundy is highly suggested as an accompaniment.
"We decided to do the Fondue since it is the quintessential winter comfort food. Made famous by the Swiss but also adopted in France and other European countries this is a dish that goes perfectly for Les Fenetres and the Lebanese social aspect!
The idea came about as my husband (Ronald Homsy) and myself had been looking through some photos of a trip we took to Switzerland, and particularly to the village of Gruyere where we enjoyed a cheese fondue." Nadine Papadopoulo.
