After the great success of the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL)'s 2013 dream project "Home Sweet Hope", the CCCL invited its key supporters in this campaign for a recognition lunch to celebrate its success and thank them all for their much appreciated efforts and support.
The lunch was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Le Talleyrand, in the presence of the Minister of Finance, HE Minister Mohammad Safadi, Director of the Lebanese National Lottery Directorate, Mr. Radwan Ghanem, Chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy, Mr. Edmond Moutran, Marketing Manager of BeitMisk, Mrs. Sara Zared Manoukian, Head of Marketing and Sales at MTV Lebanon, Mr. Patrick Gholam, Head of Business Development Unit at OMT, Mrs. Mona Farran, along with the very passionate and dedicated people from MEMAC Ogilvy, MTV, OMT and BeitMisk who, all, supported the campaign. Also present were generous CCCL supporters who made a huge difference in Home Sweet Hope: Mrs. Rose Antoine Choueiry, Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Rahmeh, and Mr. and Mrs. Fouad Schoucair.
Representing the CCCL were Chair Mrs. Salwa Salman, Board members Mr. Farouk Jabre and Sheikh Issam Makarem, and CCCL's supporter Me. Carla Arida, CCCL General Manager Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, Fundraising Manager Ms. Nissrine Tannous, PR and Communications Manager Ms. Karen Khoury, Fundraising Executive Mr. Charles Helou, and PR and Communications Coordinator Ms. Georgette Aoude. Last but not least, the winner of the 205 sqm dream house Mrs. Maha Hamdan (ticket # 855) and her spouse Mr. Samir Hamdan who attended the celebration.
The lunch started with a word from CCCL Chair, Mrs. Salwa Salman, thanking all invitees for their valuable contribution in Home Sweet Hope, after which recognition plaques were offered to each of the Lebanese National Lottery Directorate, BeitMisk, OMT, Memac Ogilvy, and MTV. A beautiful drawing by a CCCL patient was also offered to Mrs. Hamdan as a souvenir and recognition for her $200 donation which turned into a half-million dollar house.
The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) would like to thank every single person who participated in Home Sweet Hope and entered the draw on this beautiful house, consequently supporting the center in providing the latest treatment to children fighting cancer totally for free.
The total of 7,580 tickets sold will help the center in treating 24 patients in 2014.
