DOWNSIZED TURBO ENGINE, EDC TRANSMISSION, STEERING WHEEL PADDLES
Unique to New Clio R.S. 200 EDC is the combination of the 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine, and the twin-clutch six-speed gearbox. The marriage of this engine with the EDC transmission lies at the heart of the meticulous development undertaken by Renault Sport Technologies for this car, and the engine also benefits from detailed fine-tuning of the air inlet, distributor, throttle, and turbo, all of which take the driving experience to a new level. In addition, its 200 horsepower and 240Nm of torque can be fully exploited via perfectly matched gear ratios which the driver can select automatically, or manually.
EXPLOSIVE PERFORMANCE
While New Clio R.S. 200 EDC embodies Renault's hallmark comfort and versatility, it also displays exceptional driving performance: it takes just 6.7 seconds to go from 0-100kph, it can cover 1,000 meters in only 27.1 seconds from a standing start, and on a racetrack it is capable of reaching a top speed of 230kph (143mph). With this performance, New Renault Clio R.S. 200 EDC delivers a true Renault Sport experience with all the attributes of a very civilized Clio.

AN ELEGANT YET HIGH-TECH EXTERIOR
The styling details of Renault Sport cars also play a technical role in their performance. The diffuser and real lip spoiler are developed as a whole, just as they are in single-seater race cars, for maximum aerodynamic efficiency with the diffuser contributing 80 percent of the extra downforce at the rear, and the specially designed lip spoiler contributes the remaining 20 percent.
These features, like the front F1 blade showcased on this car, are hallmarks of the Renault Sport range, and serve as a reminder of Renault's success in motor racing's premier series: Formula 1.
At the front of the car the grille incorporates Renault Sport's badge beneath the Renault logo, enhancing the versatile nature of the vehicle, and the LED daytime running lights in the lower part of the bumper create a visual signature that is recognizable, day or night.
A COMFORTABLE YET VIBRANT INTERIOR
The vibrancy of the interior is displayed in the elegant black trim interspersed with a number of red details which irresistibly draw the eye, and structure the shape of the cabin. The choice of red, the color of passion, for New Clio, is also a reminder of the sporty additions introduced by Renault Sport, with the seat belts and instrument needles offering two striking examples.
Red has also been used for all visible stitching, the steering wheel's "straight ahead" position marker, the air vent surrounds, and door panel beading, as well as the gear lever knob which comes with red touches which are complemented by the visible stitching on the gear level gaiter.
Dark Metal gear shift paddles are fixed behind the steering wheel, and the grey instrument backgrounds are specific to Clio R.S.. With the engine fired-up, the rev-counter and fuel gauge needles come to life with a fun display; another aspect of New Renault Clio R.S. 200 EDC's unique character.
