The zalghouta is one of the oldest Middle Eastern traditions that is still heard, mainly in villages, during joyful events like weddings, celebrations ... However, in cities, the zalghouta is slowly disappearing from the social scene, where traditions are being set aside and forgotten. Zalghouta App is an interactive and friendly application that merges technology and traditions. "We believe that Zalghouta App will have a major impact, especially in Arab countries, where people are trying to hang on to traditions while facing the technology rush. The expectations around the launching of the app is important, given the rapid increase of the Facebook fans on Zalghouta App Page (http://www.facebook.com/zalghouta)", said Carla Khalil, VP of Marketing at Weblink.
Zalghouta App offers more than just a zalghouta tune. It provides seven different "zalaghit" based on the country it originates from: Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Spain, Egypt, Jordan and Palestine. Moreover, there is a special section for Ewiha, where you can pick the traditional quotes you like, either for brides or for grooms, and bring joy to the event. "Zalghouta App is the first of many applications yet to come.
