BMW convertibles are widely considered the most beautiful form of open-top motoring. Sales figures reflect this as BMW convertibles are the global best-sellers in the premium segment. This success story is expected to continue with the introduction of the all-new BMW 4 Series Convertible, the successor to the BMW 3 Series Convertible, the most popular and best-selling four-seater compact convertible in the world.

Just like the BMW 4 Series Coupé, the new BMW 4 Series Convertible introduces a new design language that is even more evident in this second model of the series, enhancing the appearance of the BMW 4 Series Convertible while setting new standards in terms of dynamics, elegance and extraordinary driving pleasure - whether the top is up or down.
The new BMW 4 Series Convertible is visibly larger in width, track and wheelbase than the BMW 3 Series Convertible. Powerfully taut surfaces and precise, sweeping lines define the athletic outline of the BMW 4 Series Convertible. The vehicle's impeccable balance of proportions and characteristic flowing lines stem from the typical BMW short overhangs front and rear, the stretched bonnet and set-back passenger compartment. The dynamism of the BMW 4 Series Convertible is expressed by elements like the Air Breathers positioned behind front wheel arches. Together with the Air Curtains, these elements reduce turbulence and aerodynamic drag at the front wheels.
The sporting character of the BMW 4 Series Convertible extends into the powerful design of the rear. The prominent horizontal lines and broadly stretched L-shaped tail lights positioned at the outer edges of the rear draw extra attention to the muscular wheel arches and wide track.

The BMW 4 Series Convertible will debut with an in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 435i Convertible) and a four-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 428i Convertible). These engines cover the performance range from 180 kW/245 hp to 225 kW/306 hp and feature the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The six-cylinder launches the coupé from standstill to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds while the equally adept four cylinder accomplished the feat in 6.4 seconds. Both engines will be mated with an electronic eight-speed automatic transmission - the perfect choice for customers with a passion for sporty driving.
