BBACs Care Lights a Candle of Joy for Lebanese and Syrian Children

    28 march 2014

On the occasion of 'Children's Day', BBAC (Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries) set up an initiative to help brighten the lives of Lebanese and Syrian children. It brought together children from SOS Children's Villages and Bar Elias camp for Syrian refugees in Zahle, in the presence of managers and employees of BBAC.

BBAC employees played games and had fun with the children, aged 8 to 11. They attempted to relieve some of their suffering - in light of the circumstances being faced by Lebanon and the region - through activities which reinforce the meaning of giving and commend the spirit of inclusion. The children took part in the activities and the day was overall one of happiness and enjoyment.

The head of BBAC's marketing department Tarek Bilal said: "We tried as much as we could to relieve the children of burden and share with them moments of happiness they would not forget. It made this day a normal day without sorrow or difficulties - we wanted it to be one in which they would live the childhood they deserve."

Following these activities, there was a large ceremony in which the children exchanged books and presents which BBAC had brought them, with the aim of teaching them the meaning of caring and giving. They left full of feelings of love and hope.

It's important to mention that BBAC plans to offer developmental projects in a number of different areas, based on its belief that its own success will not be complete without that of the surrounding society, and also stemming from its slogan: 'Your Caring Bank'.
